Meet Taylor

I am running to represent Kentucky’s 33rd House District because I know we can do better for the people of our community and our Commonwealth. I will work to foster dialogue and find common-sense, bipartisan solutions to the challenges we face.

I was born and raised in Louisville and my family roots in Kentucky run deep. In fact, the Jolly family first settled here in the late 1700s, before Kentucky’s statehood.

I grew up in Louisville, so I know the question everyone asks first, and I’ll answer it up front: I went to high school at Pleasure Ridge Park, and then went on to study actuarial science at The Ohio State University. I started my career as a pension actuary in Ohio and Illinois.

I always knew I’d want to raise my family in Kentucky, and after my husband, Justin, and I were married in 2015, we began discussing a move to Louisville. Justin fell in love with the city quickly. He loved that Louisville has the energy of a midwestern city, but still embodies the spirit of the south, where he grew up.

Our daughter, Lillian, was born in 2019. She is charming and full of life and she makes us laugh every day. Parenthood has been the greatest honor and the biggest responsibility of my life.

That responsibility has led me to the decision to run to represent District 33. My daughter - and all Kentucky children - deserve to be represented in Frankfort by someone who prioritizes their interests and their future. I’m running for the State House because every Kentucky family deserves a good job, financial security, good public schools, and access to quality healthcare.
